Thank you so much Mike, Neil and Eliner for making our day to Birmingham so entertaining. I'm not sure we have laughed so much seeing such a good team work together. Wonderful pub, wonderful service. Love Christopher and Ange. |

What an incredible discovery! I was walking down New Street and thinking of La Chouffe when I found you merely by chance. Lovely signs decorating a superb below surface bar - just like the Cafe Brunes in Amsterdam or Op die tap in Bruges. Birmingham is long long overdue to have a superb bar like this - and not a weakened down Stella or frothy Carling in sight. I will visit again soon and pass the word. Proost!! |

Just heard about this place this evening. What a happy coincidence I'm in Brum tomorrow. Looking forward to a few decent ales and also a Belgian beer or two. Oak aged La Trappe!! Wasn't cheap in Belgium (when you could find it). Wonder how much it is here?.... |

Having read the comment below I felt I had to post here also. I too have visited the Post Office Vaults on many occasions and have had nothing but friendly professional service by both management and staff. I was also in the pub on Saturday when you and your large group of friends were in the pub. I personally witnessed how loud and agressive your group was, so much so that me and my husband waited on the stairs for your group to leave before going to the bar. If you are proud that your friends were aggressive, intimidating and rude then shame on you. This pub has always been for us a quiet place to come and enjoy a drink, a chat and a laugh. If this pub becomes a place to be loud, violent and rude then it will not be long before this place is dead. Keep up the fantastic work all of you. |

Have been to this place numerous times and had great time. So decided to take a large group of friends Saturday 29th April to see the quality selection of beers. Sadly when asking for a small free sample which was on display the managers was rude and uncooperative. If this manager continues to treat customers like this it will not be long before this place is dead. |

Thank you for your comment but can I please reply with our side of the story. It was obvious you had all had a good day and were very merry. When I said I was happy for you to try a sample, you insisted to the much enjoyment of your friends to attempt to try every single beer just because they were free- when busy this is not what the samples are for. When told this (several times) people in your group were rude. I am a firm believer in treating people how I would like to be treated myself. If you are polite to me, I will be polite back. However, If people are rude and abusive to me I have no respect for such people. One member of your group then became verbally aggressive- this behaviour simply will not be tolerated in this pub. He stepped behind the bar and when asked to step back replied with "no f**k off, what you gonna do about it". I'm sorry if your experience was disappointing but behaviour like this will never be tolerated in this pub. The entire situation was witnessed by staff and many customers who commented on your groups behaviour after you left the premises. Not only stating how aggressive members of your group were towards management but also how uncomfortable your group made them feel. If you would like to come in and discuss the matter further I would be more than happy to. |
